What makes us different
The Johannesburg Business School Centre for Entrepreneurship (JBSCE) was established in 2006 by the University of Johannesburg. Over the years the JBSCE has become an entrepreneurship hub of excellence that facilitates business development for Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) not only in South Africa but the entire African continent.
Our core objective as the JBSCE is to develop and support a new breed of future-fit entrepreneurs. We are therefore dedicated to providing the best affordable short learning courses in entrepreneurship. At JBSCE we have reimagined entrepreneurship development by harnessing technology to develop digitally empowered SMME start-ups and existing businesses from economically disadvantaged communities.
Through our Integrated Business Development Model (IBDM) that broadly encompasses the tenets of an evolving entrepreneurship system, we have been able to consistently produce impactful results with all our entrepreneurship courses.
Our Vision
To become a centre of excellence within Africa that offers impactful solutions for entrepreneurs.
Mission
To offer entrepreneurial services that encompass the following;
- Short learning programs
- Action based research
- Host public lectures and events
- Value-adding partnerships and support to have;
- Access to markets
- Technological support
- Coaching, mentorship through a network with other centres and alumni.
At JBSCE we are determined to empower our entrepreneurs with relevant skills to be ‘future-fit’ so that they can significantly contribute to different sectors of the economy. To date, we have equipped several entrepreneurs with contemporary entrepreneurship training that is essential for mitigating business challenges in the 4IR era.
We encourage entrepreneurs, academics, sponsors, partners and other stakeholders to take part in our programmes and events as we reimagine the future of entrepreneurship.
